This article covers Bible Verses about being blessed, atmosphere of the blessings and all you need to know about being blessed according to the scriptures. Lets get started.
Everyone desires to live a life full of blessings. This is because blessing spices up life and make living more meaningful and pleasant. Any life without the blessing is merely existing and not living.
What is the meaning of being blessed?
Being Blessed is more of a spiritual issue than physical. It does not solely consist of tangible riches that can be seen, touched and made use of. These are only manifestations of the blessing.
What does the Bible say about being blessed?
The Bible says the blessings make rich and adds no sorrow. This is to say that riches are products of the blessings. In this chapter, we would like to discuss about how blessing could be attracted, actualized and sustained. It is of concern to us here since the same principle-“only believe” controls this all-important virtue of life
What is the meaning of being blessed?
Blessing was first heard when God created the first animate life in Genesis chapter 1 verse 21. What followed instantaneously in verse 22 was that God blessed them. Also, when the first man and woman were created, verse 27 of the same scripture, what followed instantaneously in verse 28 was that God blessed them. What it means is that no animate life can be fruitful and function effectively without the blessing.
Going further into the scripture, God blessed Abraham. Abraham blessed Isaac, Isaac blessed Jacob. Jacob on his part blessed his children. Here we see blessing pass from creator to creation, person to person, from generation to generation.
One common feature that is noticeable in all this, is that blessing is merely an authoritative declaration from one life to another. This in the spiritual parlance could be called impartation. It a stand obvious therefore that blessing does not necessarily connote transfer of any material inheritance. It is a spiritual issue and is therefore ruled by spiritual principles.
In this realm, things work only to them that believe. We would like to take closer look at some of the references made above. In Genesis chapter 22 verse 17 God expressly blessed Abraham. In the verse that follows the Lord said to Abraham “In thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou has to obeyed my voice. We may ask, who is this seed of Abraham and how are we connected?
Who is the seed of Abraham?
The answer we can find in Galatians chapter 3 verse 16 where The Bible says “Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, and to seeds, as of many: but as of one and to thy seed, which is Christ.
The seed of Abraham is Christ Jesus. And we are baptized into Christ Jesus by faith, to them that believe. The Bible then says in verse 9 chapter 3 of Galatians
“So them which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham”
My fellow believer, the truth is that you are blessed, only Believe. In any area you have not manifested the blessings before now, after the encounter with this article you will certainly see the difference.
Isaac Blesses Jacob
Another instance we may look at here is the case of Isaac and his two sons Jacob and Esau. Many have condemned the role Rebecca played in projecting Jacob in place of Esau to Isaac for their father Isaac’s blessing. They fail to see this great family of God holistically. Every one playing his or her role to ensure that the will and purpose
was established in the family.
Rebecca was barren. Isaac her husband prayed, God opened her womb. She was troubled in the pregnancy. Rebecca prayed and enquired of the Lord. The Lord revealed some divine secret to her. Genesis 25:23
“And the Lord said unto her, two nations are in thy womb and two manner of people shall be separated from thy will bowels. And the one people shall be stronger than the other people, and the elder shall serve the younger”.
Why did Isaac bless Jacob instead of Esau?
Isaac unwittingly blessed Jacob in fulfillment of Gods promise to Rebecca. Rebecca heard it clearly from God that “The elder shall serve the younger” She stacked out her neck and took every risk to ensure her husband would not work contrary to divine plan.
It must only be the man that receives the blessing that the other shall serve. When you manifest the blessing. People shall no doubt celebrate you.
What was the blessing that Jacob received?
if Jacob had to flee from home empty, moments after? As it were, Jacob left home with his father’s pronouncement of blessing upon his head and with only a staff and was on exile for more than 20 years in the house of Laban.
The blessing continued to manifest in his favor. Even when conditions of service were not in his favor, the blessing will speak in his favor. The outcome
will always be in his favor. His livestock increased and multiplied above measure. How
about his children and servants? The blessing made him rich in every aspect of life.
When he was returning to his father land, his testimony could be found in Genesis chapter 12 verse 10.
“I am not worthy of the least of all the mercies of all the truth which thon hast shown unto thy servant, for with my staff I passed over this Jordan and now lam become two bands”
On the other hand, even Esau to whom the blessing was not destined, in Genesis chapter 27 verses 40 Isaac made a strong pronouncement on his head thus” This pronouncements left a comfortable place for him in the blessing though not to be compared to Jacob’s position. However, the pronouncement guaranteed his sustenance, granted even the riches that his descendants are to enjoy later. This
happened because Esau vehemently believed in the blessing and sort it earnestly and desperately.
What he got produced for him? The great lesson here is that we must earnestly and wholeheartedly believe in the blessing we receive in Christ Jesus. If we only believe; it shall produce in our lives.

FOUR WAYS TO CREATE THE ATMOSPHERE FOR THE BLESSING
It is amazing to know that man on his own can originate the atmosphere of blessing around his life. This book will reveal some eternal truth that have stood the test of time on this issue.
Based on the references we have above, God told Abraham how to activate the blessing. Abraham fulfilled the conditions and God said to him
“because you have done this, in blessing I will bless thee, in multiplying, I will multiply thy seed, Isaac equally told Esau what to do to have the blessing. Rebecca also confirmed the same to Jacob. The one that complied first won the game. it is not essentially different today, we shall simply itemize here four contemporary ways the atmosphere of blessing can be created in any man’s life. You cannot miss it.
1. GIVE YOUR LIFE TO JESUS
You must be born again. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, that which is born of the spirit is spirit. There is a day you were born in the flesh. We call it birthday and you know it.
There also must be a day you are born in the spirit. You must be sure of this. The good thing is that you can have the experience even right now if you have not done so before. Follow the prayers at the end of this book and consider it done. Make the Bible and the material in your hand your companion.
The Holy Ghost will guide and empower you. You will never fail. You are now positioned to receive every spiritual blessing.

2. YOUR FAITH:
We have already cited the blessing of father Abraham above, so blessed that God credited the blessing of entire mankind to him. what this means is that whatsoever he wishes or desires are available to him. They could be spiritual or physical, tangible or intangible, be name it.
See this article about faith
Furthermore, the Bible again revealed the secrets of this blessing in Romans 4:18 to 21 thus:-
Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations according to that which was spoken, so shall thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead when he was about a hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strong in faith, giving glory to God. And being fully persuaded, that what he had promised he was able also to perform.
Our responsibility is to strongly believe the word of God like Abraham. There is nothing your life cannot accomplish once your faith is up to it. The Bible says nothing shall be impossible to him that believe.
3. YOUR LIFE STYLE:
The blessing demands a disciplined life style. It will be good to look at what the Bible says about this in the book of James chapter 1 verses 5-8 viz:
“If any of you lack wisdom, he should ask God who gives generously to all without finding fault and it will be given to him. But when he asks he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubt is like a wave of the sea blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; He is a double minded man, unstable in all he does”.
The Bible in the same way presented the an account of the life style of a man who
lost the blessing in Hebrews 12 verse 16 and 17. Thus:-
“See that no one is sexually immoral or is godless like Esau who for a single meal sold his inheritance rights as the oldest son, Afterward as you know, when he wanted to inherit this blessing he was rejected. He could bring about no change of mind, though he sought the blessing with tears”.
Any life that seek the blessing must know how to appreciate true values and must not be unstable That man must have value for spiritual things Esau lacked these qualities. He valued food for his stomach above his birthright.
The same way some today value earthly pleasures above Kingdom blessings. Because of his profane and unstable life style he lost the blessings. Therefore, a man’s life style invariably accounts for how far he can manifest divine blessing.
4. YOUR GIVING:
It is already pointed out that blessing is a spiritual endowment. It is capable of producing wealth and riches progressively. And giving is that virtue that ignites the blessing to produce and increase.
The Bible expressly teachers that it is the way man uses what he has that will attract what he doesn’t have. See this post
The bible says “give and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
The only condition that manifests blessing to the level of good measure that runs over, is giving. A man that gives always will certainly become God’s channel to bless lives and provide for Kingdom activities on earth.
That man shall never be in lack. Whatever he gives out is divinely replenished running over. One only needs to believe this. If you key yourself into it: Your generation will bear testimony that you are blessed indeed.
