Patience and perseverance are two very noble traits that are worth taking note of in the Bible. They’re both biblical principles that will make you a better person, but one verse can summarize their importance in only three words: “Be patient.” Not everyone possesses these qualities — but it sure doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be cultivated.

An angry approach is not the best answer to any situation. It only promotes irrationality which can lead to making rash decisions or actions, and this most likely doesn’t do anyone good. Colossians 3:12 – Patience and endurance are virtues of a Christian.

As children of God, patience is one important virtue we must possess. We should also double this with endurance.
These are necessary when it comes to our walk with God because there are a lot of things, people, or overall challenging times that will threaten to rock us off our boats, which might cause us to make unreasonable or carnal decisions.

This gospel was passed through the works, sweat, and blood of the disciples and the early church. They went through trials, tribulations, and challenges, but they overcame them.
Their feats were not accomplished through physical responses to those situations, but by faith, love, and patience they were able to obtain a good report, and they have in turn handed down these doctrines to us, believing that we are capable to do the same.

The life of a Christian is one of spirit and not the flesh, and it is of importance that we learn to subdue our flesh -our physical senses and let the spirit take control.
Temptations to succumb will rise, but we must endure till the end, only then will we receive the heavenly reward given to those who overcome.
Psalm 37:7-9 – Trust in God.

Romans 5:3-4 – Patience is not a weakness.

Preserving or exercising patience doesn’t make one weak. However, it does quite the opposite. It builds spiritual stamina, and strength in character builds your faith even stronger and deepens your trust and conviction in the Lord God.
Romans 12:12 – Remain fervent in prayers.

Every challenge we face and go through only serves to make us better Christians; causing our faith to not stagger, but grow stronger. We are encouraged to remain fervent in prayers, serving the Lord, and keep the hope alive that God is with us through it all.

In life, what counts most is not really about how something started. More important is how it ends, and in all of these, it is better to be patient than to be proud. Trust the process, and keep your eyes on the goal.

The Lord should be your safe place and comfort space. He should be the first love of your life. Being conscious of who He is in your life will help build your patience and perseverance level when things get tough. You don’t have to be in a rush or hurry for anything, and you also shouldn’t have a low tolerance level. That will only promote strife.
James 5:11 – Trust in the Lord God, for everything works together for your good.
Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

Job, in the Bible, is one of the greatest examples of a man who waited on the Lord. Despite having lost everything, he still remained faithful and steadfast, keeping his heart with the Lord. To those that are enduring hardships, a great reward will be given to them. Trust in the Lord God, for everything works together for your good.
Galatians 6:9 – Keep up with the faith.
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Don’t stop doing what you’re doing. Don’t let discouragement let you down. Keep up with the faith, remain fervent in prayers and fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit. In due time, you will reap the fruits of your labor.

We should make a habit of looking into the books to read and see all the Lord Jesus had gone through when teaching the Word, and winning the souls of men.
Now, we have accepted Him as the Lord in our lives and been called into this life of being propagators of this gospel. We should brace ourselves, and get ready; there’ll be tough times, trying times, and faith-shaking tides will come our way, but be relentless; nothing should separate you from the Love of Christ Jesus. Endure till the end as he did. Be proud to identify with Him.
