For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.
~ Ephesians 2:8
These compelling bible portions encapsulate the gospel’s central message. We were sinners in desperate need of a Savior, and only God’s grace could save us.

~ John 20:29 (KJV)
We commonly refer to Didymus’ son as “doubting Thomas,” because of his unbelief in the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
But Jesus says that blessed are they that have not seen but yet have believed in Him. In our daily life, we should build our faith to believe in God and His words without any doubt.
We should not be like the doubting Thomas that wants to see with his eyes first before believing in his words.
Isaiah 40:31 – Believing and Waiting on The Lord
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
~ Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)
There are some challenges in life we will face that are overwhelming even to the strongest of individuals.
Most people will fail and get depressed because they rely on their own inner power and personal resources, which are insufficient in the face of life’s storms.
Only God’s might is adequate to keep us alive. Only His protective hand, not our own limited human talents, can keep us safe from the storms of life. So when we are faced with difficult situations, we are to run to God for strength and not hope in our own power.
John 14:1 – Believe without being troubled
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
~ John 14:1 (KJV)
These lines from the Bible passage have brought solace to many Christians throughout history.
Neither the things of this world, which darken our lives nor the fantasies of our hearts, which obscure our minds, can make us lose faith in this Word of comfort, which comes directly from God, the Father of all comforts.
In all we do, we should learn to believe in God’s words and have faith in his promises.
Hebrews 11:1 – Believing and faith
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
~ Hebrews 11:1 (KJV)
The only way to receive this free and eternal gift from the Father is to trust in His Word and believe in His Son, whether they are Old Testament saints or New Testament believers.
Faith is simply believing that the things God has revealed in His written Word will certainly happen in the future.
We should have a firm conviction, unshakable confidence, and indisputable expectation that all God has said, in and through His WORD, is established forever and will come to pass.

He allowed doubt to cloud his trust. Thomas, like so many others today, wished that his human senses could secure his heart’s deepest desire.
To keep their faith in God, Many people nowadays want a supernatural sign or a special insight.
However, we are to live by faith rather than sight. We must live by faith rather than by sight. We are to live by faith, not because of any other system that encourages us to believe.

And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
~ Mark 1:15 (KJV)
Isaiah prophesied of Christ who was sent to redeem His people, Israel, from their sins, alongside many other holy men of God.
He also predicted the birth of John the Baptist, God’s final Old Testament messenger, who was taken out of his mother’s womb to pave the Lord’s way.
After laying this prophetic foundation and a brief reference to Christ’s baptism in the Jordan, we are instructed to believe the gospel as the kingdom of God is at hand.

For we walk by faith, not by sight.
~ 2 Corinthians 5:7 (KJV)
Paul was compelled to declare the message of God and expose the glory of the Christian faith to the people of his day by Christ’s constraining love.

We must learn to believe God without seeing him because He that believeth in him is not condemned. As Christians, this should be our everyday practice.
John 6:47 Believe and have Everlasting Life
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
~ John 6:47 (KJV)
Unlike Israel’s forebears, who ate manna from heaven but died in the wilderness, Jesus wanted these people to recognize HIM as the True and Living Bread who came down from heaven to fulfill man’s inner hunger.
His beautiful message was that everyone who ate this heavenly Bread would live eternally because Christ’s life would be offered as an appropriate sacrifice for the world’s life.
For all that want eternal life, all that is required of us is to believe in Christ Jesus.
Acts 16:31 – Believe in the Lord and be saved
And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
~ Acts 16:31 (KJV)
We are to put our faith in Christ Jesus the only begotten Son of God, Who is Creator of heaven and earth.
To be saved, an unbeliever must trust in the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. All the jailor had to do to be saved was believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and his entire family had to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as well.
Facts about Believing without Seeing
Here are some facts about believing in God without seeing:
What does the Bible say about trusting and believing?
The term believe is used in a variety of contexts. In a broad sense, it simply means to have faith in or put one’s trust in someone or something. It is to have trust in God’s sincerity, His Word (the Bible), and His promises; to rely on God’s character and fidelity, and to put one’s hope in Him in a religious sense.
“Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ,” the most prevalent expression, means “place our confidence and trust in Him as our only chance of eternal life.” This is how we come to be saved (John 3:16; John 1:12).
This type of faith is also known as “trusting” in the New Testament. John 3:36 (“He who believes [trusts] in the Son has everlasting life”), Romans 4:5 (“But to him who does not work but believes [trusts] in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness”), and Ephesians 2:8-9 (“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast”) are just a few examples.
What is believing without seeing?
The phrase “believing without seeing” pertains principally to our salvation, that is, trusting in Jesus and His work on the cross for salvation. This type of faith is more than just agreeing with a collection of facts; it is trusting in a Person—trusting that He did all possible to free us from our sins.
Believing without seeing is ultimately relying on God’s promises (2 Corinthians 4:18). In this sense, it can also apply to how we live our lives as Christians.
We trust God will provide for and protect us even if we cannot see it with our eyes. We think God loves us because His Word says so, not because of how we feel at any given time (1 John 3:1).
